Kick Off Rally to Recall Walker!

Thank you to everyone who helped with our successful rally on Tuesday!

We collected close to 100 signatures within an hour, and signed up several new volunteers to help us as we move forward.

Also, a big thank you to Janesville School Board Vice-President, Kevin Murray and Janesville City Councilmember, Yuri Rashkin for attending.

Starting next week on the 21st of November - the College Democrats will have a table where students can continue to sign the petition.

Hello, and welcome to the College Democrats of UW Rock County's official website!

We are a wing of the College Democrats of Wisconsin, which is also affiliated with the College Democrats of America and the national Democratic Party.

Our mission statement and purpose is: The College Democrats pledge to support the candidates and philosophy of the Democratic Party. Furthermore, the College Democrats declares its intention to support all efforts to increase the participation of college students in Democratic affairs. To these ends, the College Democrats shall educate and train its members so that they may be better able to: educate students about the philosophy of the Democratic Party, assist in the election of local, state, and national Democratic candidates, and affect political change on the local, state and national level.

With Rock County being in a very competitive area of the state, we plan to help and promote ALL Democrats in Rock County. Whether it's local races or the Presidency - we will fund raise, knock doors, make phone calls and educate our fellow college students on the importance of voting for Democrats.

We recently came VERY close to taking back the Wisconsin State Senate on August 9th, and have narrowed our margin 16-17. We will continue to fight for DEMOCRATIC and PROGRESSIVE values as we head into the 2012 campaign cycle.
